چکیده

Abstract This paper presents the attributional life cycle assessment results of a study plastic recycling using hydrothermal treatment (HTT), chemical technology. HTT was investigated due to its potential address current gaps in system, largely several packaging materials and formats that are currently not processed by traditional mechanical technologies. As society transitions towards net-zero-based circular economy, assessments should be conducted with futuristic outlook, preventing costly mistakes employing right technologies areas. The ReCiPe 2016 impact methodology shows GWP 478 kg CO 2 eq. per tonne can generate up 80% reduction climate change impacts when compared comparable end-of-life whilst conserving material system. Additionally, could reduced 57% changing how electricity is generated for on-site consumption. represents new understanding polymers establishing prospective looks introduce step-change system highlights benefits introducing this technology as opposed model disposal through incineration or landfill.

Tetracycline: production, waste treatment and environmental impact assessment

The frequent occurrence of pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment requires an assessment of their environmental impact and their negative effects in humans. Among the drugs with high harmful potential to the environment are the antibiotics that reach the environment not only, as may be expected, through the effluents from chemical and pharmaceutical industries, but mainly through the sewage...

Study on chlorine removal from mixture of waste plastics.

The recycling of waste plastics that include plastics that contain chlorine, such as polyvinyl chloride, is difficult because the chlorine leads to the corrosion of equipment. Then, the dechlorination method of waste plastics containing chlorine (CCWP) that consists of a series of melt process and hot water process was examined. CCWP was put into the melt process with coal tar (HOB) and convert...

Urban waste management and the environmental impact of organic waste treatment systems in Kampala, Uganda

In Kampala, Uganda, about 28,000 tonnes of waste are collected and delivered to landfill every month. Kampala Capital City Authority records show that this represents approximately 40 % of the waste generated in the city. The remaining uncollected waste is normally burnt and/or dumped in unauthorised sites, causing health and environmental problems. However, the organic fraction of domestic was...

Hydrothermal Treatment of Municipal Solid Waste to Produce Solid Fuel

This paper describes the application of innovative hydrothermal technology on local municipal solid waste (MSW) to produce low chlorine content solid co-firing fuel with coal. Raw MSW was treated at temperatures ranging from 210 to 235°C with 30 to 90 minutes holding period. The process yielded slump products which were then naturally dried to 5% moisture content, resulted in dry products with ...
